supersystem

supersystem shelving by tom kühne comes in wood and aluminum. a nice simple construction suited to smaller-sized volumes, it also seems like good inspiration for a home project.

Cool idea - this reminds me a lot of my hungarian shelves!

nice design, corey, i'll need to post these plans. you should take a look at the first post on this blog. they are my own shelves, using only physics, with no screws or attachments of any kind. They've held up brilliantly for 2 years now & I can't imagine them moving or coming down.

Erik - very cool! It is such a conundrum of finding bookshelves that fit your space, your budget, and if you building it yourself, your skill level. :-)

My shelves definitely use screws, but you can't see any of them. The only ones used attach the supports to the wall, and are placed behind where the shelves slide in.

Hopefully mine will last as long as yours, though I haven't loaded mine up with books yet...
